In the cw-LIDT research project, the LZH is working together with LASEROPTIK GmbH and RAYLASE GmbH to adapt testing methods for optics to modern high-power laser components. The goal is to be able to reliably test optics.
Fast, high uniformity and superb coating quality – these properties not only apply to physical vapor deposition methods but also to atomic layer deposition (ALD). Beneq and LZH have teamed up to develop a spatial ALD system that can be used to coat complex-shaped optics at an unprecedented speed.
Spatial ALD, miniaturized filters, multi-radius BBM: The LZH will present future technologies of industrial optics at Optatec 2022. The trade fair will take place from October 18 to 20 in Frankfurt. The LZH can be found in hall 8 at stand G118.
With a new Spatial ALD system, the LZH can now also uniformly coat complex-shaped optics. The innovative system achieves higher deposition rates than previously possible - and is of interest, among others, for applications in the automotive lighting or VR/AR sectors.
