In the ‘LaBoKomp’ project the partners INVENT GmbH, Laser Zentrum Hannover e.V., KMS Technology Center GmbH, Premium AEROTEC GmbH and TRUMPF Laser GmbH developed a laser machining station, processing strategies, process control, and handling equipment all adapted to high precision macro drilling of CFRP at low cycle times. In this paper an overview of these innovative achievements is presented.
