Abstract
The integration of an optical coherence tomography (OCT) system in a laryngoscope enables imaging of the tissue structure for cancer diagnosis without taking biopsies. We developed an optical design which couples OCT with a ridged endoscope and thereby allows both, indirect video-laryngoscopy and two dimensional OCT scans. The tremor of the investigator causes relative movement of the probe to the sample. An OCT-based autofocus was designed to keep the region of interest within the imaging depth of the OCT system.
