Verena Wippo has extensive experience at LZH: she was previously employed at the Hanover-based research institute from 2011 to 2024. From 2019 to 2024, she led the Composite Materials group, at that time part of the “Production and Systems Technology” department, which is the “Sustainable Production” department. She subsequently worked at Robert Bosch GmbH in the field of laser welding.

"With many years of experience in application-oriented research and her up-to-date industrial expertise, she is well placed to lead the Sustainable Production department."

The "Sustainable Production" department develops laser-based solutions to make manufacturing processes more resource-efficient, flexible, and environmentally sustainable.

"He led first his group and then the department with great dedication and professional expertise. After 27 years in research and development at LZH, Dr.-Ing. Peter Jäschke has joined the management of LZH Laser Akademie GmbH in July 2026. The academy has been operating as a professional continuing education provider in optical technologies since 2003, offering its clients a broad range of qualification programs — from introductory seminars to specialized advanced courses. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of LZH.
