At the annual network meeting of Niedersachsen Aviation on November 26th, 2019, in the HDI Arena in Hanover, Niedersachsen’s Minister of Economic Affairs Dr. Bernd Althusmann visited the stand of the LZH.
The annual network meeting of Niedersachsen Aviation serves as a networking platform for decision-makers and multipliers from industry, science, politics and administration from the network of aerospace in Niedersachsen.
This year, the focus was on the motto "Aviation 4.0" with keynote speeches from aviation and an exhibition. The Composites Group of the Production and System Technology Department at the LZH also exhibited at the accompanying exhibition. Verena Wippo, Head of the Composites Group, and Klaus Ulbrich, Executive Director at the LZH, had the opportunity to talk to Minister Althusmann about the advantages of the laser in the processing of lightweight materials for the aerospace industry. Verena Wippo explained the possible areas of application of laser technology in the processing of fiber-reinforced plastics, such as welding.
