Additive Manufacturing (AM) revolutionizes product development by offering unprecedented design freedom and manufacturing capabilities. AM allows for complex geometries, enables customization and the manufacturing of products tailored to individual needs and preferences. It is possible to accelerate the product development cycle by quickly producing prototypes and to explore a wide range of materials, opening up possibilities for enhanced functionality and performance.

Learn more about the potentials of Additive Manufacturing in our workshop “Innovative Product Development by Additive Manufacturing" on September 29, 2026. We organize the workshop in collaboration with the Institute of Product Development (IPeG) at Leibniz University of Hannover. This year the workshop will once again take place at the Laser Zentrum Hannover e.V. (LZH).

Innovative Design and Optimization Methods

Design Methods and optimization tools for the development of components and applications for Additive Manufacturing.

Advanced Additive Manufacturing Processes

Development of innovative processes and materials to further expand the potential of Additive Manufacturing.

Novel Applications of Additive Manufacturing

Utilizing the potential of Additive Manufacturing to implement novel solutions for innovative applications, such as energy and process engineering.

 


Call for Papers: 

We invite researchers and professionals to contribute to the workshop by submitting a short abstract (English, 150 word maximum) on the topic of "Innovative Product Development by Additive Manufacturing". Deadline for submissions is May 5, 2026, via email to AM@ipeg.uni-hannover.de

Timeline and Submission Dates: 

Abstract Deadline: 05.05.2026
Acceptance Notification: 08.05.2026
Paper Submission Deadline: 07.07.2026
Paper Review: 10.08.2026
Final Paper Submission / Registration: 11.09.2026
Workshop: 29.09.2026 

Our scientific committee will arrange the workshop program from a selection of your submitted papers. 


Contributions: 

Informal abstracts of max. 150 words (English) can be submitted by email to AM@ipeg-uni-hannover.de until May 5, 2026. 

Papers of accepted abstracts will be published in an ISBN numbered book by Springer Vieweg.
