MOONRISE captivates the next generation at IdeenExpo
03 July 2026
How could roads and landing pads on the Moon be built from lunar dust? Visitors found answers to this question at the MOONRISE project's lunar model, which stands almost two metre tall. The LZH booth also offered insights into the research institute's internship, apprenticeship, and study-related programs. In addition, students were able to design their own space landscape using 3D pens, giving them a hands-on introduction to 3D printing.
With over 400,000 visitors, IdeenExpo is Europe's largest technology and innovation festival for young people. The event is open to pupils from year 5 onwards, with a primary focus on years 7 through 13.
