From 22 to 27 January 2022, LZH scientists presented their work in 12 contributions at the conferences at this year's Photonics West. The topics ranged from laser development to laser material processing.

From 22 to 27 January 2022, LZH scientists presented their work in 12 contributions at the LASE and OPTO symposia at this year's Photonics West. The topics ranged from laser development, such as work on power scaling in Mamyshev oscillators or new amplifier concepts, to laser material processing of CFRP or process monitoring in various processes.

This year, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Stefan Kaierle also held the role of both "Symposium Co-Chair" of LASE and "Conference Chair" of "Conference 11994 High-Power Laser Materials Processing: Applications, Diagnostics, and Systems XI" from January 26-27, 2022.

At the "LASE Plenary and Hot Topics", Prof. Dr. Michael Kues, member of the Scientific Directorate of the LZH, presented the photonic quantum technologies from Hannover.
