The LZH carries out tests on lasers and optomechanical assemblies in a vacuum environment and with variable temperature conditions.

In their thermal-vacuum chamber, the Laser Development Department carries out environmental tests on lasers and optomechanical assemblies. To guarantee controlled clean ambient conditions, the chamber is located in a ISO 7 cleanroom.

Test conditions:

  • Temperature cycles between –70°C and +150°C
  • Active or passive tests, the laser can be in operation during the tests
