Standard-compliant measurement services

The group „Characterization“ of the department “Laser Components” offers a broad spectrum of measurement procedures for the highly precise characterization of optical components.

 

At the Laser Zentrum Hannover e.V. (LZH), the following methods can be carried out:

  • Measurement of the laser-induced damage threshold and long-time stability of optical materials and coatings
  • Measurement of optical losses:

    • Absorption (using laser calorimetry)
    • Total and angle-resolved scattering
    • Laser-induced fluorescence
    • Total losses using Cavity-Ring-Down
  • Spectrophotometry from the mid-IR to the deep UV range
  • Consulting for the power stability and optimization of laser optics
