The LZH offers consulting, feasibility studies and process development for laser micro drilling and cutting of diverse materials. For this, ultrashort pulse lasers are mainly used. Suitable processes can be optimized for industrial application and integrated on the customers premises.

 

Parts with micro drilled holes or cuts are used in more and more areas. Classic processing techniques increasingly reach their limits in terms of ablation dimensions, or are only suitable for a limited number of materials. Here, ultrashort pulse lasers, such as picosecond or femtosecond lasers, open up new processing opportunities.

The Laser Micromachining Group evaluates the general feasibility of micro drilling and cutting applications, and offers support for the following issues and tasks:
