Current research activities of the Laser Components Department focus on novel process concepts for manufacturing complex layer systems with only minimal optical losses and maximum resistance.

Beyond novel process concepts and monitoring methods, LZH is highly competent in programming optical monitoring systems and highly precise system controls. These LZH developments have opened up new perspectives for manufacturing tailor-made ternary layer phases and structures with a continuously variable refraction index.

The basic prerequisites for an economic use of laser beam sources in industry are state-of-the-art manufacturing systems combined with reliable beam sources. Besides excellent laser process know-how, competence in the development of customer-specific solutions for the integration of laser systems is highly important.
