Job Title: Studies of glass tube fusing with laser radiation
Introduction: At present fusing of glass tubes is realized with flame technology. The laser is a useful high tech tool to transform this application into an automated production process with higher quality and quantity. These processes are in development at the Laser Zentrum Hannover. A machine prototype and a process setup exist. To develop a fusing process specific temperature and kinematical parameter leading is necessary.
