Business Development & Communications
The field of activities of the Business Development & Communications Department can be divided into the groups Training and Education, and Communications. The common cooperation includes:
- strategic projects
- the external presentation of the institute
- the coordination of training and education
- the economic development
- internal services for the Board of Directors, the management and the scientific departments.
To fulfill these tasks, the Business Development & Communications Department offers a broad spectrum of linguistic, inter-cultural, economic, organizational, strategic and last but not least technical competencies. By initiating and working on national and international projects, for example in China and Russia, the Business Development & Communications Department support the business development of the LZH as well as networking and international integration.
The Business Development & Communications Department is responsible for the external presentation of the institute, through marketing and communication, as well as customer relationship and knowledge management activities. Staff of the Business Development & Communications Department coordinates participation at national and international trade fairs, manages the LZH website, and organizes customer and partner events.
In its function as internal service provider, the Business Development & Communications Department is responsible for the in-house library. In the field of Business Development, work on start-up consultancy and coaching the scientists from the LZH, the Leibniz Universität Hannover an other non-university research institutes has become more and more important since 2006. Further, the administrative offices of the European Optical Society (EOS) can be found in the Business Development & Communications Department.
