European Optical Society (EOS)

The field of activities of the Business Development & Communications Department is divided into the Training and Education Group and the Communications Group. The two groups cooperate for strategic projects, the external presentation of the institute, coordination of training and education activities and in the role as internal service provider for the board of directors, executive managers and the other departments. In order to offer these services, the Business Development & Communications Department offers a wide spectrum of language, intercultural, communicative, organizational, strategic and last not least technical skills. By initiating and working on national and international projects, for example in Russia, the department supports business development, linkage and international integration of the LZH. Furthermore, the department ensures a professional external presentation of the institute, through public relations work and marketing and communication. Fair participation both nationally and internationally, the production of print and electronic media, support and maintenance of the internet presence as well as the organization of customer and partner events are also covered by the staff of the department. The in-house library also belongs to the internal services provided by the department. Furthermore, the administrative offices of the European Optical Society (EOS) can be found in the Business Development and Communications Department. Close cooperation with the LZH Laser Akademie exists, which was intensified in the course of the year 2011.
