Master's thesis: Material processing - Development of a laser based structuring process for glass materials
Background/Approach
The aim of the project is the development of a laser based structuring process for glass materials. In order to substitute common processes for glass surface treatment, e.g. etching and sandblasting the LZH is performing investigations using laser radiation. In order to change the optical properties of the glass surface the laser is used to insert suited structures into the material. In special the structuring process in investigated by using different laser types and optical equipment. The goal of the project is to develop a high flexible process for various applications.
